{Snapshots}

Last week was the BEST!  Momma came in town to spend her Spring Break with her girls.  We had a blast together.  Sis & I are so blessed not only to have an amazing mom, but a best friend!  When the three of us are together…there’s no telling what could happen!

We did A LOT of wedding planning!  Since I don’t get to plan the wedding with mom next to me, I took advantage of having her here!  I got to show her the rehearsal dinner venue, wedding venue {you can check out her professional pictures at Yvonne Sanders Photography and really see what my venue looks like}, we got to menu taste & wedding cake taste, ended up choosing an AMAZING menu & a cake that is to die for!  I also got to show her the bridesmaids dresses, which she loved.  OH, and she found her gown for the big day!  I think that’s everything…

PS:  She did a bridal shoot for me…I wish I could share them with you because they’re gorgeous, but you’ll have to wait for those!

Introducing you to Ashley!  One of my bridesmaids & looking adorable in this Jcrew maxi dress number! Her and my sister {here} looked so beautiful the night of my tasting at my wedding venue {here} I just had to share their looks.  Ashley & I go way back to my sophomore year of college.  We were teammates then, but now she’s a sister!

{OOTD:: Water Colors}

First of all, I want to introduce you all to my sister, Kirstyn.  Most ask “are you twins?!”  No…all-though I take it as a huge compliment, because I think my little sis is absolutely GORGEOUS!  We are two years apart, but no one ever realizes that.  She’s my baby sis, but more that that, she’s my best friend!!  I don’t know what I’d do without her.

The night of my tasting, at my wedding venue {here}, I told my sister & my other roommate Ashley {who are both bridesmaids in my wedding} that I was going to do an outfit post on each of them because they both looked SO beautiful!

PS:: did I mention she’s one of the biggest goofballs I know!!

OH, and she’s also been working out & very proud of her guns! {lol}

{venue reveal}

There aren’t to many specific wedding details that I’ll share before hand, but I wanted to share the gorgeous details of my wedding venue with my family & friends who aren’t here to preview it with me!  {also with Patrick, as he’s deployed & only gets to see pictures}

Friday evening, West Manor held a tasting & also unveiled of all the new additions to their building.  West Manor has always been one of the prettiest places in Lynchburg to get married, but under it’s new ownership, it’s now THE prettiest place!  They gave the inside of the house a whole facelift…redoing each room.  They also redid all of the gardens & my favorite addition…the new atrium.  This is an all glass wing, off the ballroom, that will give my February wedding an outdoor feel!

{cake tasting}

The tasting was a great success!  The new caterer on staff, Michelle, was awesome.  She’s super sweet &  has great ideas.  I can’t wait to work with her in creating my menu!  West Manor brought in a bunch of local venders that each bride got to meet & get to know.  There were four different bakeries there featuring a few of their favorite cake flavors.  As you can see…I tried a bite of each!

This event was so much fun for my girls & I & made 2.23.13 feel even more real!
